Understanding current and risk assessment forecasts will help communities better understand the nature of the risks they face, and the scale of responses that they may wish to make.

If high risk issues are facing you, your community, or your region; then how do you respond?

There are a range of proactive steps that you can take to lessen the impact of high risk events.

PLANNING

Plans are generated in advance of need, and lay out step by step actions that can be taken in the face of an anticipated course of events.

Individual planning is essential. Community planning involves more people and can have greater impact.

The Foundation for Prediction, Mitigation and Planning was established to protect investments and save lives through proactive planning and the identification of viable solutions.

• Publish findings, conduct courses and customized training, and provide educational materials
